Basic Computer Terminologies
Arrow Key: Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, move the cursor up, down, left, or right in the document.
Click: The act of pressing the button on a computer mouse
CPU: Central Processing Unit
Folder: It is the virtual location for applications, documents, data, or other sub-folders.
Icon: It is a small graphical representation of a program, feature, or file.
Keyboard: It is one of the primary input devices used with a computer.
Monitor: It is an output device that displays information in pictorial or text form.
Mouse: It is a handheld hardware input device that controls a cursor in a GUI and can move and select text, icons, files, and folders.
PC: It is designed for one person to use at the office or at home. PC Stands for Personal Computer.
Printer: It is a machine that prints out information from a computer onto paper.
Scanner: It is a computer input device that uses a light beam to scan codes, text, or graphic images directly into a computer system.
UPS: An uninterruptible power supply or uninterruptible power source is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source or mains power fails.
Window: It is an area inside a frame on a computer screen, that has a particular program operating in it or shows a particular type of information.
Windows: It is a graphical operating system developed by Microsoft Corporation.
