It is commonly used to organize data and perform financial analysis.

Working in Microsoft Excel

 To create a New Blank Workbook:

Steps

1.    Click on the File Menu. Backstage view will appear.

2.    Click on New.

3.    Click on Blank Workbook.

4.    A new Blank Workbook will appear.

 

To Save an Existing Workbook:

Steps

1. Click on the File Menu.

2. Click on the Save option.

3. Click on the Browse Option

4. The Save Dialog Box will appear.

5. In the save dialog box, select file location and type fine name.

6. Click on the Save Button.

 

To Close an Existing Workbook:

Steps

1.    Click on the File Menu. Backstage view will appear.

2.    Click on the Close.

3.    The Workbook will close.

 

To open an Existing Workbook:

Steps

1.    Click on the File Menu. Backstage view will appear.

2.    Click on Open.

3.    Select Computer, then click Browse.

4.    The Open dialog box will appear. Locate and select your Workbook, then click Open.

5.    The Workbook will open.

 

To pin a workbook:

If you frequently work with the same workbook, you can pin it to Backstage view for faster access.

Steps

1.    Click on the File Menu.

2.    Your Recently edited Workbooks will appear.

3.    Hover the mouse over the Workbook you want to pin. A Pushpin Icon will appear next to the Workbook. Click the Pushpin Icon.
